JUFJ and our partners are deeply disappointed that Governor Spanberger vetoed bills that would have expanded workers’ rights, and that would have protected immigrant Virginians from ICE when they are at courthouses. Everyone in Virginia, no matter what job they work or where they were born, should be able to work with dignity and participate in our legal system without fear. JUFJ and our partners remain committed to building a Virginia where everyone can thrive. We have the power to make change — and it’s on all of us to do the work to see that change through.
