Every year JUFJers from across Maryland join forces to fight for justice during the General Assembly legislative session (January to April).
2026 Maryland Statewide Agenda
Jews United for Justice (JUFJ) works in coalition and partnership with grassroots and advocacy groups to build and win campaigns that will make real, concrete, improvements in peoples’ lives and make Maryland a more equitable state. Our approach is based on our commitment to racial equity and dismantling systems of oppression, which includes centering the leadership of directly impacted partners and being as transparent as possible about our agenda selection process. When we select campaigns, we keep in mind our goals of organizing and mobilizing our base, strengthening coalitions we are part of, and shifting the balance of power in our local communities.
During the 2026 legislative session, we recommitted ourselves to the efforts to pass critical legislation that did not pass in previous years — deepening our organizing around youth justice, immigrant justice, and housing justice. In addition to our three full scope of work campaigns, contributed to other ongoing campaigns, such as economic justice, in a more limited way. Now that the legislative session has ended, you can read more about the progress we’ve made alongside our partners here.
