Amanda joined JUFJ’s staff in 2026 as our Chief Operating Officer. Her previous employer was the Bainum Family Foundation and Children’s Equity Fund, where she wore many hats across programs, operations, and partnerships during her almost 17-year tenure. She is a Wake Forest and American University alum and holds certifications in business administration, change management, and project management. Before entering the nonprofit world, Amanda began her career as a high school English teacher in DCPS as a Teach for America corps member which ignited her passion for social justice. She loves working at the intersection of people, processes, and systems to build the resilient infrastructure needed for long-term change.

Amanda lives in Silver Spring with her two young children, two old rescue dogs, partner, and an ever-growing collection of plants that she sometimes manages to keep alive. In her limited free time (see above), she enjoys knitting, creative writing, and listening to audiobooks.
