Since 2018, JUFJ has been part of the local movement to transform public safety in Montgomery County. Some of the core campaigns of this movement launched in 2020, including a focus on ending the practice of treating Montgomery County Public School students — especially Black and brown students — as criminals. To continue the organizing for decriminalization of young people in schools and drivers in traffic stops, the effort has been renamed as Decriminalize Montgomery County, and you’re invited to the launch party!
