This virtual learning session convened by the Avodah Institute for Social Change in partnership with the Black Jewish Liberation Collective will focus on how to shift away from isolation and towards community building, and share how addressing antisemitism is a key part of the movement for racial justice.

Adat Shalom 7727 Persimmon Tree Lane, Bethesda, MDJoin Adat Shalom for a discussion with Delegate Gabe Acevero (MD D39) about Reparations to Black and Indigenous people, a key social justice topic for Reconstructing Judaism and Reform Judaism. Delegate Acevero is the sponsor of reparations legislation and knowledgeable about the progress other jurisdictions are making to implement similar legislation.

Jewish tradition teaches that the Divine encompasses both justice and mercy — every child should have the chance to grow and learn, not be discarded and punished.
